Occurred on Mar 23, 1994
16-year-old Melissa Fernandez was shot in the head mistakenly in a drive-by shooting, which was thought to be gang-related. Brian Ronquillo, then 16, fired eight times as the car he was in passed students on the school grounds. The victim, who police said was a friend of both groups and not an intended target, was killed. Another student was injured. The shooter, Ronquillo, was convicted of first-degree murder and attempted murder and sentenced to 52 years in prison. Learn More (nwsource.com)

the shooters and the kids in the car went to my high school. it was so so so so scarey going to school the next day because we were in lock down the whole day.I, felt so bad for that young girl loosing her life because of some kids who are lossers. She didn't deserve it. May God keep her safe up in heaven and may God bless her family!!
