i was a student at that time 13yrs old my self hearing the gun shots i did know john but i can tell he was well loved by everyone at the school whn i heard the bad news me to had tears droping it was a sad hurtful day!to know his sweet life had been taken over something very selfish.

This story is a lie. That is not what happend. Although murder was not the answer, Tronneal is NOT the monster that people think that he is. Ask about the gang that John was in and how they bullied and repeatedly beat Tronneal up every chance they got. Tronneal and I rode the same bus and he was very kind and sweet. I did not know john personally but I knew some of the people he hung around and the trouble they caused as a group. Although I think that murdering him was 100% wrong, I DO NOT tink that Tronneal M. should spend the rest of his life behind bars. He was fed up and in the state of mind of a fed up 13 year old child. I hope that it opened the minds of bullies and makes them realize you cant fight a bullet.

I wasn't alive then, but all his family members must be really sad that this happened he is only 14 yrs old. And Kiah all that you keep saying are just rumors probably how can u be sure its 100% true. That Adias watch belonged to his mother that abanded him. So I think that watch was really special. That was only piece of jewelry she gave 2 him before she left the family.

I was there that day I just got off the bus and I was walking that way and I heard 3 bangs but they didn't seem that loud but I went running to that area and I saw john laying on the ground. I was in shocked that I didn't move but then a teacher came running out pushing all of us away yelling to get to class. There was no learning that day. I was sitting in my spanish class and we had the tv on watching the news about the shooting and learning that he had died. I didn't didn't believe them, I thought they were making that up but it was true. I can still remember every detail that day and how he was laying in the street people screaming and the next morning standing in the rain where he died at having the same teacher say a prayer. I did have john in my P.E. class and he played sting with my friends and I once but never knew him personaly. A lot of parents came to school that day and pull their kids out and I was one of them. I am sorry for the families loss.

I attended that school, but on that day, I was a Senior attending Forest Hill High School.. I remember in class we turned on the TV right before lunch and the news happened to be on, and of course it was all about the shooting that morning, I remember being in class watching and could not believe my eyes... It's hard to believe it's 2011 and Tronneal is probably in his 30's by now and has been in prison since that day and will be rotting in there until the day he dies.. Turning gay? He probably has no other choice.. But he gets what he deserves, and it's sad that he killed a kid that could be making something out of his life now. Both Forest Hill and Conniston schools have been long torn down and rebuild, the campuses don't even look the same anymore, except the road that the shooting accured... I remember the news was constantly on that story for weeks..

He was in my class had a great disposition about him very sweet and all around helpful nice guy. Probably the only guy that was nice in that school. I did not know him long but it was very hard on all of us. I think i am gonna stop by the school and see if the memorial is still there...

Watch... Lie... over $ On stolen bikes and stereos. i know cuz i was johns Best friend. and partner in crime, even though T did have johns watch (his mom who was in Egypt gave it to him for his bday and T refused to give it back that wasn't the end result. i was John's BEST friend.(Lil skinny kid with who'd fight anyone and rode bikes with john to school everyday.)i went with him every Dr. visit to adjust his prosthetic leg, i was close to his family, and father, cousins (amgad,Kamal, etc)i got his RIP tattoo a week after. Mangum.. i forgive you. you were young and washed by society. but think everyday that those 4 bullets cost you the rest of your life. PS if ANYONE has pics of john pLS email me Sylence83@gmail.com
