As students were being dismissed early from school, one was wounded in the shoulder after being shot in the parking lot of Crossroads Charter High School in Charlotte, N.C. The school principal later said that the shooting appeared to have been accidental, despite earlier speculation about gang involvement, after talking to both the victim and a witness.
