That is so stupid...and it was all ovr rumors ... How can people be so dumb and shoot anyone ...think before u do sumthing that will haunt you do your whole life !!!!

I was there when Jose was killed. I saw the whole thing. I went to his service as well. The whole thing was so sad and all over something that was so very dumb. 1 girl called the other girl a dirty name.....so what. Jose didnt do it and his life as well as Max life was worth so much more and 2 families have been destroyed all for nothing. Think before you do something that you can NEVER take back.

I was also there when Jose (Joe) was killed. Max was in my 7th period class and Joe was in the classroom next door. Looking back on that day there are now things that I remember that seemed odd about Max that day although nothing that would have ever alerted me to know he was about to kill him. I remembered paniking when I saw Joe fall to the floor. I ran to the office and told them to call 911 that Joe had been shot in the head. They all looked at me like I was crazy. It was a day I will never forget and wished no one ever had to witness. Time doesn't heal those wounds. I wonder how Max feels now. My hope is that the family is at peace and Joe is at rest.

I remember that Max used the excuse of being traumatized by the war in El Salvador as the reason why he could not contain his anger. What a joke. There's no excuse for what he did to Joe's and HIS families. All over calling a girl a bitch? I wish it could all be different and Joe would be in his 30's like the rest of his class. I still go by his grave site at Oak Grove, he's one row over from another friend killed way too young. RIP

I shared a class with Max and worked with Jose @ Kroger. I was in shock when I heard the news later that afternoon. It was the day before my senior prom and I in utter disbelief that this could have happend at my school. Jose would have been 35 this year. I am not sure if Max got his "just deserts", but he will have to answer to a much higher power than man.
