Vincent Garofalo shot himself in the hallway of the 550-student middle school with a .22 caliber rifle he had smuggled into school in a guitar case. The incident occurred in front of the boy's locker around 8am, as students were heading to classes. No one else was injured. He had warned friends earlier in the week that "something was going to happen". In December 1998, his father, Dan Garofalo, also committed suicide. Learn More (google.com)
This school shooting was a suicide which occurred at Reed City Middle School, not the high school.
