A fifth-grader and three of his friends planned an assault on their school, a day when the school allowed students to bring in large duffel bags for a planned trip to a swimming pool. 12-year-old David Robey dressed in camouflage, took three rifles, two shotguns and two handguns from his father's gun cabinet and brought them to school in his duffel bag. When he arrived at the school, he and his friends went into a bathroom where he began taking he guns from the bag. The friends backed out at this point and warned teachers, who called the police. The police arrived and as they approached the bathroom, just 30 feet away, David put a Colt .45 to his head and committed suicide. this kid went to my school...its so wierd to walk my halls and know that a suicide occurred here. Sad thing is...this kid was very depressed and was constantly picked on until he could not take it anymore...our school has amped up security...but is failing with kids having suicidal thoughts..
